With FUE technique, one can successfully extract maximum 2500 hair grafts. The FUT hair transplant can successfully harvest around 3500 hair grafts.

In high grade baldness (grade VI or VII):

In these cases, combination technique of FUT and FUE with BHT (Body hair extraction) is the answer.

In this technique, we use the hair grafts from the scalp apparently using both FUT and FUE technique in single session along with the body hair extraction.

Which body hairs are preferred?

Obviously, beard is the preferred site as the hair in this region are thicker and grow longer. The hair at the other regions of the body are thinner and does not grow longer so not much preferred for the extraction.

For beard hair extraction, very less numbers of hair extraction are pursued from the beard around 1000 hair grafts per session.

Break-up plan for hair harvesting is as follows:

• Around 4000 hair grafts using the FUT and FUE technique from scalp
• Around 1000 hair grafts using the FUE technique from the beard
